Back at it with the meta but I give you: Merlin being absolutely exhausted bc he’s been up all night working for Gaius or smth but anyway he’s tired and while Arthur is out with the knights, Merlin is cleaning his chambers and he just sits down on Arthur’s bed for a sec. Skip to 3 hours later and Arthur comes in from training to see Merlin curled up in a ball on his bed and he just kind of stops and smiles a little and then goes over and pulls the covers over him and kisses him on the head.
I feel like Leon deserves more appreciation, not just because he’s One Cool Dude™️, but also because he’s been putting up with all this Merthur bullshit for literal years. All those other guys show up, witness a bit of eye fucking and are like “Woah” and Leon’s just there like “Woah? Woah!? You have no fucking clue the things I have seen, my friends.” We talk about Gwaine being the ultimate Merthur shipper but I present to you, Leon, who is so used to all this crap, he just knows exactly what to do when it happens. Which is frequently. Someone get this man a fucking drink.
At what point did the knights of Camelot just stop questioning Merlin following them everywhere like, at first they had to try and point out “but sire he… he doesn’t have armor he….. he’s gonna die……” and then Arthur kept ignoring them so a bunch of the knights are just like “okay, who’s on Merlin? Who’s keeping the prince’s dude safe???” And it’s like a joke but then eventually it becomes “seriously, who’s got Merlin. Where is our tiny one. We must protect the smol™️ while the prince is busy. He is our smol. He is our tiny one who does not know how to fight.”
I bet they ALL shovel talk Arthur. “If you hURT HIM WE HAVE A PLAN TO COMMIT A COUP. WE ARE READY TO ATTACK SHOULD YOU HURT OUR SMALL.”
