“You can’t have a character with big boobs and not sexualise them”
“There aren’t any feminist female characters that want to do things that are typically feminine”
“There aren’t any badass gay characters”
“There aren’t any cool/badass disabled characters”
“Okay well what about disabled POC characters?”
“There are no interesting or complex villains! None that ever question their morals, or have an interesting motive”
“There aren’t any women characters that don’t just do things for men”
“I want a poc character that fights against racism”
“There aren’t any cool characters that aren’t young and healthy”
“There are no male characters that like feminine things”
Need I go on? Go watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
Fullmetal alchemist also tackled the issues of imperialism, genocide, PTSD, friendly fire, racism, war brutality, and military corruption unflinchingly. “Most military commanders are killed by their own disgusted soldiers.” indeed.
I just realized that most women in the FMA universe have big boobs and that this isn’t even highlighted in the series (or in the manga).
As a reader, as a writer, and as a fan I can’t think of a single website that has given me more happiness than Archive of Our Own. Thank you so much to everyone who works so hard to make it such a wonderful place.
I love this website and ghe filters are amazing. Can look by a variety of tags, if its finished or not, crossover or not, word count, rating, etc. you can exclude that stuff too, so if you dont wanna read explicit stuff, or sould rather not see a certain ship its easily done.
male socialization is refusing to admit you’re losing an argument even when every one of your ‘points’ is being thoroughly shut down, female socialization is recognizing you’re wrong about minor things during the argument but knowing that if you verbally concede any point the man will take that as ‘confirmation’ of his overall Rightness. men walk away from debates feeling good about their performance despite how the debate actually went, women walk away feeling like it would have been more productive to talk to a tree
[040417] Fans call this video “The Legend of 욥(yob)” and it might be Kyunghoon’s most infamous broadcast hiccup after “you don’t know ssamja.” While performing “Monologue” at an outdoor concert with Buzz, a bug flew into Kyunghoon’s mouth, cutting his last note short. He poked fun at this at a fan meeting this year, which you can watch here.
