Hey, I’m pretty sure this is most likely more of a translation thing but the dialogue for the scene where Ash solidifies his resolve to protect Eiji in the anime kinda reminds me of how a knight would pledge an oath of loyalty to their lord or king.
That’s just the vibe I initially got from the way these lines were phrased, especially since he’s also kneeling in front of Eiji while doing so. Idk how else to describe it honestly lol.
