Literally that billboard article had absolutely zero reason to bring up yoongi it could’ve been a thoughtful article abt toxic masculinity and weird shippers focusing on western boy groups there was literally no reason to bring in bts when the article wasn’t talking abt kpop at all. Yes some aspects of fan culture is the same but the korean music industry and Asian music industry as a whole exists separately to western music just bc kpop is getting popular w whites now a days doesn’t mean they are comparable in the way the article tried to make them.
