Two realizations: the best hero/villainish relationship in the world is Jake Peralta and Doug Judy, and Len and Barry were building to this exact kind of dynamic (and would have /gotten there/ if it hadn’t been for those /meddling writers/). What says coldflash more than the villain telling the hero from a pre-recorded karaoke video after screwing him over for the nth time while ultimately helping him in the end, “Even though I’m a scorpion, I will never drown your adorable little frog ass.”

coldtomyflash:

I mean…

I haven’t seen the newest episode, but Jake and Doug’s team up when they take down Doug’s foster brother (aka a serial murderer)? Such a good episode. Doug being given immunity for over 600 crimes because Jake is like “this is my bff and we even have a catchy song together” and Captain Holt’s vein in his forehead just like… throbbing? Ready to burst? This poor man’s blood pressure?

Seriously, given this comparison between them and coldflash, it’s not altogether surprising to me that I low-key ship Jake and Doug (and it sort of kills me that there’s so little fanfiction for B99 but anyway).

I would’ve loved to see coldflash progress into this direction. Len screwing over Team Flash and Barry like…. every single time they work together, but Barry still asking for Len’s help because he always does help in the end and even though he escapes and gets what he wants out of it, Team Flash manages to get what they need too, and it sort of always works out.

And then if you can put David Singh into Raymond Holt’s shoes? Imagine if the CCPD had to team up with Cold for something? And Barry’s there beaming while David is ready to throw something at his head he’s way too damn chipper about working with Leonard Snart.
